Raymond “Raymie” Williams, Jr.
Raymond E. Williams, Jr., 81 of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 12, 1932 in Toledo, Ohio to Raymond Sr. and Mary (Kert) Williams. Raymond was a graduate of Waite High School and served in the U.S. Army, where he was Missing in Action during the Korean War. After his service he became a Patrolman for the Toledo Police Dept. and later became a Detective before retiring in 1990, after 30 years of service.
Raymond is survived by his loving wife, Margaret “Marty” Williams; children: Gary Williams, Linda (Terry) Williams Cousino and Robert (Marla) Williams; grandchildren: Michael (Rachel) Reed, Shannon (Todd) Metcalf, Shylah (Steve) Miller, Robert (Beth) Williams, Jr., Alicia Williams, and April (Joe) Cousino; 18 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild and sisters, Carol (Robert) Galuzny, Sandy (Thomas) Susor and Jackie Fletcher. He is also survived by step children: Roberta (Casper) Walters, Regina (Randy) Hall, Rose (Lynn) Cervantes, Ronald (Tammey) Cervantes and Raymond (Rhonda) Cervantes. Raymond was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Williams Evonek; father, Raymond Williams Sr. and great grandson, Chanz Williams.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd., Oregon on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 from 2-8 p.m. where members of the F.O.P. Lodge #40 will have services at 7 p.m. along with members of American Legion Post #512 and Korean War Veterans Group. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. with burial to follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
