Raymond Joseph Dippman

October 27, 1929 — January 15, 2012

Raymond Joseph Dippman age 82 of Oregon, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2012 at home surrounded by his family. Ray was born to Clarence and Kathryn (Junk) Dippman on October 27, 1929. He graduated from Clay High School in 1947 and served our country in the Army during the Korean War. Ray worked for Standard Oil for 38 years, retiring in 1989. He was a firefighter for Oregon station #1 for many years and also served as Asst. District Chief. Ray belonged to Christ Dunberger American Legions Post, was a lifelong member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, and served as a director of the Standard Oil Credit Union.

Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 57 years; Wilma (Myrice), children; Jeff (Becky) Dippman, Bill Dippman, Linda (Tim) Henegar, Jeri (Joe) Rayner, Joe Dippman, and John (Crystal) Dippman, sister; Susie Will, 11 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter; Joni Nowaczyk, siblings; Charles Dippman, Helen Richardson and Mildred Jablonski.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. where American Legion, Fireman Memorial, and Scripture services will be held at 7p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. and continue on with the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Ignatius Building Fund or Odyssey Hospice.
