Randy James Mendoza Sr.

Randy James Mendoza Sr. age 40 of Northwood passed away at Ebeid-Hospice of Northwest Ohio on March 12, 2024 after a hard year battling cancer. Randy was born to Michael and Kathy (Walters) Mendoza in Oregon, Ohio on April 22, 1983. He was a hard worker and worked in construction for many years before starting at FedEx five years ago. Randy was married to Juanita (Rudnicki) for 20 years this December, they have been together since age 13, together they raised 4 beautiful children. Being a father was everything to Randy and he loved his children dearly, and he enjoyed watching them play baseball, softball, volleyball, run track, and be outside with them. Randy enjoyed watching old westerns. He and Randy Jr. could fix anything with a motor. Randy was always available for projects around the house and was very handy.

Randy is survived by his wife Juanita; children Alexia Rudnicki, Angelena Mendoza, Randy Mendoza Jr., and Vanessa Mendoza; granddaughter Raelynn Tedrick; father Michael Mendoza; siblings Shelly (Rob) Groll, Michael Mendoza, Jesse (Angie) Mendoza, Julie (Anthony) Borja, Nicole Mendoza, and Jason (Sarah) Mendoza; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Kathy and sister Sue Brockschmidt.

A visitation will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. and continue with burial in Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions to family may be made through their fund at https://gofund.me/3b0c6a5c
