Ramiro "Ray" Fonseca

Ramiro Fonseca, 68, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Mercy Health-St Charles Hospital surrounded by his family.  He was born on September 22, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois to Damien and Elena Fonseca.  Ray was a loving man who was big on family.  He would spend most of his days waking up early to pick up his grandkids to go cruising.  The destination would be to family member’s homes, Ray found joy in stopping at his siblings and family members homes to talk and catch up on life or to show off his new car.  He was truly a simple man who enjoyed fishing and the company of others especially is family.

Ray is survived by his daughter, Christal Zimmerman; grandchildren, Joseph Barber, Nathaniel Barber, Arianna Sifuentez, and Alfonso Sifuentez; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Isaac, Adalina, and Sabrina; siblings, Janie (Emilio) Lopez, Adelia Hill, Sammy (Alicia) Diaz, and David (Hilda) Diaz and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Yolanda; siblings, Ruben, Guadalupe, and Adelina Fonseca, and his niece, Joelle Diaz.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, from 3:00-7:00 p.m. where services will follow at 7:00 p.m.  Memorial contributions can be made to the family.
