Pierre Cervetto , 85 years old, passed Saturday, March 17th, 2012 in his home surrounded by his family. Pierre was born in France, on November 26, 1926 to the late Francisco and MiMi Cervetto. Pierre moved to the United States at the age of 22. He began working at Ed Schmidt’s and would later retire from L.O.F.
Pierre is survived by his sister ,Jeanette; wife, Patricia; his sons , Michael, (Dee), Pierre (Michelle), Marcus, David (Mindy) ; daughter in law, Lori Berry; Grandchildren, Corey, Dustin, Michael, Jake, Lauren, Andrew, Victoria, Dawson, Kayla, Bay and Marisa; many nieces and nephews, Michel Godat, Tina and Michael. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph; sister, Suzanne; son, Jimmy and niece, Christian.
Pierre was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and uncle and was devoted to his family. He had a great passion for life and people. Pierre always stressed the importance of a good education. He loved to take his grandchildren fishing at Pearson Park. Pierre was very active in the Alliance Franchise School where he taught French. Pierre was a teacher in many ways to those he encountered, always encouraging and inspiring to " do your best". He volunteered at the Riverside hospital and enjoyed art, music and life in all things.
Family and friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, March 23rd from 2-8 p.m. where funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. that night. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Senior Independence Hospice.
