Phyllis M. Tamlyn, age 88, of Oregon, OH passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio-Perrysburg Center surrounded by her family. She was born on January 26, 1926 to Joseph and Sophia (Debny) Albrecht. Phyllis graduated from Notre Dame Academy in 1944 and later married Carl Tamlyn on 1-23-45 and together they shared 45 years. Being the homemaker she was, she enjoyed gardening, reading and loved her dogs. Her family was her world and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the center of that world. She will be dearly missed.
Phyllis is survived by her loving children, Mike (Nancy) Tamlyn, Kathy (Tom) Aemmer, Chris (Greg) Harris and Tim Tamlyn; grandchildren, Michelle Nordhaus, Mike Tamlyn II, Tom Jr., Jason, Josh Aemmer, Jill Borkowski and Melissa Cogar; 12 great-grandchildren and one on the way, as well as, her K-9 Companion Buddy. She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband; 3 brothers and Scruffy her puppy.
Arrangements are being handled by the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd. in Oregon. A private memorial service will be take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Maumee Valley Save-A-Pet organization or the Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
