Phyllis Carolyn Rogers

Phyllis Carolyn Rogers age 81 of Oregon passed away on February 29, 2024, at home. Phyllis was born to Fred and Ethel (Miller) Pelton on June 25, 1942, in Morris Township, PA. She worked for the Berman family for over 30 years as a waitress and manager for Mel Berman’s Restaurant retiring when they closed. Phyllis also worked in home health care for 20 years. She absolutely loved her children and grandchildren. Being a mom and grandma brought her the greatest joy. Phyllis had a wonderful sense of humor and was very giving. She didn’t judge you (to your face Haha) but was known to be very honest.

Phyllis is survived by her children Marie (Billy) Whitt, Frank (Barbi) Rogers, Wanda (Darryl Pedigo) Russeau, Carolyn (James) Rickman, and Teresa (Randy) Harris; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; siblings Eric (Mary) Pelton, Roger (Nancy) Pelton, and Gail Fetters; beloved cat Priscilla and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George Rogers, grandchildren Cassee and Scott; brothers Fred, Gary, Philip, Donald, and Norman; sisters Margaret, Janice, Marlene, and Catherine; her cat Elvis and dog Miss Holly.

A visitation will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 1 until 3 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Because of Phyllis’ love for animals memorial contributions are appreciated to any local animal shelter.
