Phyllis R. Long, 92, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Monday, January 18 2016 at the Labuhn Center at the Lutheran Home of Toledo Campus, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 7, 1923 in Gibsonburg, Ohio to Henry and Mildred (Felker) Schutt. Phyllis was a beautician for over 20 years and managed York Town Village apartment complex in Ada, Ohio. She was a registered member of the Maumee Valley Girls Counsel, a member of the Allen County Farm Bureau and the Dairy Association. Phyllis also was a member of the V.F.W. post #1275 Ladies Auxiliary where she had served as treasurer.
Phyllis is survived by her children, David (June) Eff, Jack Eff, Linda Severson, Sandra (Richard) Danko, Cynthia Zuccarell, Timothy (Ruthie Grezlik) Eff and Joseph Long; daughters-in-law, Katheryn Long, Denise (David) Ehrhardt and Toni Eff; 24 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and 9 great great-grandchildren; brother, Dale (Carolyn) Schutt. She was preceded in death by parents, husbands, Norman Eff, James Blus and Donald Long; sons, Jeff, Donald Long and Sgt. Major Ret. Richard Eff; brothers, Ralph and Howard Schutt; sister, Elsie Peacock, Jeannette Wilson; daughter-in-law, Betty Eff and son-in-law, Joe Zuccarell.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd, Oregon, on Friday, January 22, 2016 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held the next day at 11 a.m. in the funeral chapel. Burial and a memorial service will take place at a later date in Ada, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made St. Paul Church in Ada, Ohio.
