Peter Joseph Carlo, 87, died Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Northwest Hospice in Perrysburg. He was born April 10, 1930 in Toledo to the late Matteo and Santa (Calanni) Carlo. Pete attended Sacred Heart Grade School and Waite High School. He retired with 40 years from L.O.F. of Rossford. Pete was a member of the Eagles of Maumee, Waite Has Beens Golf Group and Waite Inc.
Pete is preceded in death by his wife, Patsy of 60 years; son, Marty Carlo; son-in-law, Bryan McCandlish; grandchildren, Shannon McCandlish and Aaron Carlo; siblings, Mary, Rosie, Petrina, Josie and Joe. He is survived by children: Peggy McCandlish and Jim Carlo; grandchildren: Bryan McCandlish II, Jacey (Michael) Duffer, Stephanie Collins, Ashley Carlo, Spencer (Sarah) Carlo, Monte (Angie) Carlo, Amy (Jason) Sancrant, Brittany (Joe) Hernandez; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Angelina Facer; special cousin, Mary Coughlin and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Thursday, October 12 , 2017 from 2-8 p.m. with prayers at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. A special thank you to Hospice of Northwest Ohio for all the special care.
