Paul "Pat" Arthur Hecklinger

Paul “Pat” Arthur Hecklinger age 81 of Oregon passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2024 peacefully at home surrounded by family. Pat was born to Gustave A. and Esther I. (Powell) Hecklinger on April 22, 1943, in Toledo, Ohio. Pat was a graduate of Waite High School and went on to serve our country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. Pat was a proud sailor who served on the submarine USS Barracuda out of Key West. Pat owned and operated the Hecklinger Insurance Agency with his wife Carolyn. Pat had a passion for revitalizing the East Side of Toledo through various housing organizations. He truly believed fixing the worst house on the block would lead to the neighbors investing in their properties as well. Pat also worked at the St. Paul’s Community Center in Downtown Toledo for many years.
