PAUL MARION MILLEN

Paul M. Millen, 83, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. He was born August 11, 1930 in Godfrey, IL to James P. and Freda (Hanei) Millen and served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. For over 20 years, Paul had a mobile delivery route with the Toledo Blade and then worked for 5 years in maintenance for the City of Oregon. Paul returned to work with the Toledo Blade serving as Manager of the Circulation Department for 5 years prior to retiring. He was a lifelong member of Bono Baptist Church where he was affectionately known as ‘Paul Man’ and played drums in the Praise Band. He loved going to car races including, dirt track, NASCAR and USAC. He was a gifted craftsman and built a beautiful model boat.

Paul is survived by his loving daughter, Cheryl (Charles) Flack; grandchildren, Danielle (Michael) Zakrzewski and Charles (Christine) Flack; great-grandchildren, Haley and Noah Palicki, Felicity, Charles R., Wiloughby, and Macauley Flack and sister, Mary MacDonald. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Donna May; daughter, Donna Jean; parents, James and Freda and siblings, James, Robert, Freda, Helen, Shirley and Richard.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Bono Baptist Church, 967 Main St., Bono, Ohio 43445, where the family will received guests one hour prior. Burial will remain private at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Bono Baptist Church.
