Patricia Sedlak-Schinharl

Patricia Sedlak-Schinharl was born November 16, 1948, the 13th of 15 children of Filmore and Jeannette Wamer in Toledo, Ohio. She graduated from Waite High School in 1966. Patty married Jim Sedlak on July 19, 1969. She married Ron Schinharl on October 11, 2009.

Patty worked at Mercy St. Charles in Medical Records for over 25 years retiring in 2006. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and was known for her caring and selfless nature. Patty was born to be a mother and grandmother, and raised two sons, with many grand and step grand and great grandchildren. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family at Sunday dinners, Easter reunions, card games, or any other family function. She spent over twenty winters as a snowbird in Florida. Most of those winters were spent with Ron and she was able share those good times with family and friends and made many new friends in Florida.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father Filmore and Jeannette, husbands; Jim and Ron, brothers; Jim (Nancy), Bob (Jeannie), Mike (Jan), sisters; Cookie (John), Bonnie, Joyce (Jim), and Mary. She is survived by her sons Jim (Andrea) and Tom; stepsons Ronnie (Laurel), John (Tracy) . Grandchildren Jimmy, Sierra, Jessica, Alex, Adam, Drew, Ronnie, Josh (Katelyn), Mckenzie, Tyler (Jodie), Alexis, David, Madison, Abbey, Ellie, Hannah (Andrew), Tyler (Taylor), Gabbie, Maria; great grandchildren; Aiden, Cole, Kenley, Bayleigh, Landon, Juju, Adley, Brayden, Lena, Phoebe, Clayton, Jaxson, Cayden; brothers; Larry (Mary Jane), Danny (Carol), Rex (Delores), Ike (Joanne), sisters; Kate, Phyllis, Lila; and too many nieces and nephews to mention here.

Patty’s visitation will be Friday, February 28th at Freck Funeral Chapel in Oregon from 4 PM to 7 PM. The funeral service will start with visitation on Saturday, March 1st at 10 AM, with funeral service at 11 AM. Burial services will follow at North Oregon Cemetery. There will be a celebration of Patty’s life immediately after the burial service at Christ Dunberger American Legion Post on 4925 Pickle Rd. in Oregon.
