Patricia Jean Moore

Patricia Moore, 85, of Tiffin, Ohio passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky, Ohio.  She was born on November 18, 1935 in Steubenville, Ohio to Clarence and Maxine Pelley. Patricia was a gifted musician who raised five daughters with a love for music. She worked as a registered nurse for many years, before retiring at the age of 80.  She had a strong faith in God and was a member of Woodville United Methodist Church. She used her gift of music to serve in many churches in the Toledo and surrounding areas.  Patricia was a strong advocate for children services; serving as a foster parent and Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer for many years.  She loved music, especially the piano.  Patricia taught piano and organ lessons to hundreds of students over the years.  In her spare time, she also enjoyed gardening, photography, and following her dreams.  She will be dearly missed.

Patricia is survived by her daughters, Paulette (Bruce) Strine, Jann (Willie) Utley, Cynthia (Leon) Bell, Katie (Greg) Fleek, and Mernie (Todd Fulcher) Moore; 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Peggy Workman; brother-in-law, William Boso.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Maxine Pelley; sister, Jonnie Boso; and brother, Robert Pelley.

Private services were held for family on Friday, September 17, 2021.  Burial took place at Portage Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Portage Holiness Camp 12306 Portage Rd. Portage, OH 43451
