Patricia Manteuffel, 75, went peacefully with the lord Monday December 14, 2015 in her home surrounded by loved ones. She was the daughter of Norman and Margie (Taylor) Rogers, born on December 27, 1939. She was a graduate of Waite High School. Her love of cooking was expressed at home and also during her employment at the Lutheran Home of Toledo where she cooked for many years. She loved fishing and gardening and many other outdoor activities. She had a passion for jewelry. She was a sales associate at Osterman and Kay Jewelers while also designing and creating her own jewelry at home. Patricia never knew a stranger. No one ever left her home hungry. She routinely adorned those around her in the gems she had created. She could accomplish anything she set her mind to.
Patricia is survived by her loving husband, Albert Manteuffel; children, Keith Karcsak (Jennifer Shabnow), Timothy (Denise) Karscak, Shane (Marie) Manteuffel; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and siblings Evelyn Laney, Vern Rogers, and Donald Rogers as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceeded in death by her parents; daughter, Jodie Karcsak, and sister, Carolyn Rogers.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd, Oregon, on Thursday, December 17, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. and on Friday, December 18, 2015 from 2-8. Funeral services will be held on Saturday in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at First St. John Lutheran Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
