Patricia Gail (Baka) Bacon

Patricia Gail Bacon age 74 of Curtice passed away at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg Center on Thursday, August 17, 2023. Pat was affectionately known by many as “Baka”. Pat was born on July 27, 1949, in Toledo, Ohio to Robert and Betty (Weseman) Robinson she was a 1967 graduate of Rossford High School and went on to receive her Associates from Owens Community College. She married the love of her life, Steven in 1970, and together they shared 45 years of marriage until his passing in 2015. They loved classic car shows and joined the Hot Rod Power Tour. Pat and her husband Steve were very patriotic and were both members of the Walbridge VFW Post #9963. After Steve’s passing, she became the first female member of the Honor Guard to honor his memory. Pat was a selfless humble person who found joy in doing things for others, often behind the scenes. She loved being a mother and grandma “Baka”.  As “Baka” she loved watching her grandchildren and their friends compete in sports and supported the Rossford football program by ensuring the seniors had plaques. Professionally she was the City Administrator for the City of Northwood and a member of TMACOG until her retirement. Pat loved to organize an annual family vacation and host “Bacon Fest” in July.

Pat is survived by her daughter Amy (Troy) Adams and son Chad Bacon; grandchildren Eric Ruby, Macy Adams, and Cali Adams; great-grandchildren Leah, Tucker, and Violet; sister Donna (Tyke) Kleeberger; niece Wendy and nephews Scott and Jason. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

A visitation will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel on Saturday, August 26, 2023, from 3 until 5 p.m. A memorial service will begin at 5 p.m. with a walk through of Walbridge VFW Post 9963 members. Memorial contributions are appreciated to the Walbridge VFW Post #9963.
