George Earl Goodrich, Sr. age 78, of Martin, Ohio went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 9, 2024 after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was born on August 11, 1946 in Toledo, Ohio to Elmer “Doc” and Norma (Fulton) Goodrich. George was a 1964 graduate of Central Catholic High School. George’s passion was ministry, he served as Pastor of Bono Baptist Church for 23 years. He had various jobs over the years including, salesmen for trucking and moving companies, owner of Goodrich Moving and Storage, a Realtor with Key Realty, and in his younger years a DJ of old time rock and roll.
In his spare time, George enjoyed fishing and boating, and was the admiral of the “Lollipop.” George was a member of Cooley Canal and Harbor View Yacht clubs, where he served as chaplain for many years. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
George is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Linda Goodrich; children, Debbie (Greg) Harley, Tracy (Rich) DeVore, and George (Christine) Goodrich Jr.; grandchildren, Christopher (Courtney), Chelsea (Tyler), Devin (Donnie), Andrew, Noah (Sidney), Peyton, Morgan, and Jonah; great-grandchildren, Charli, Emilia, Carter, and Everett; and his sisters, Sandy Tucker, and Laurie (Pete) Tucker. He was preceded in death by his parents, “Doc” and Norma; and brother-in-law, Bruce Tucker.
Family and friends may visit Bono Baptist Church, 967 Main St. Martin, Ohio on Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 9-10:00 a.m. where services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Bono Baptist Church, Ohio Living Hospice, or the Parkinson’s Foundation.
