Ottis D. Stephens, age 83, of Toledo, Ohio passed away at his home on Monday, March 30, 2015. Ottis was born on April 17, 1931 in Brush Creek, Perry Co., Linden, Tennessee to Levi and Bessie (Barber) Stephens. Ottis was a supervisor at Sheller Globe before retiring. He enjoyed hunting, country music and planting with a green thumb. Ottis was especially fond of his family life, particularly his grandchildren.
Survivors include his daughter, Terry Stephens; daughters-in-law, Jackie and Lisa Stephens; 9 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Lola, Opal, Annie and Frank. Ottis was preceded in death by his wife, Flora; parents; sons, Jerry and Jeff Stephens and sisters, Mary Sue and Delthia.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd, Oregon, on Thursday, April 2, 2015 from 2-8 p.m. Burial will be private in Tennessee at Stephens Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of NW Ohio.
