Oliver J. LaFleur, Jr., 92, of Toledo, passed away January 18, 2018,surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 11, 1925 to Mary and Oliver J. LaFleur, Sr. in Toledo.

Ollie attended the University of Toledo and worked several years at Kroger Company in Toledo. He eventually was hired by Dana Spicer Manufacturing and retired in 1993 after 42 years of service. While working in the office at Kroger, he met and married Mary Ann (Carl). Ollie would pester Mary Ann on a regular basis until she finally agreed to go on a date. After retirement, Ollie and Mary Ann stayed busy by bowling at Southwyck Lanes, taking fun bus trips with friends, vacationing in the Caribbean, and making family memories at the family’s lake house in Indiana. Always looking for a bargain, Ollie loved to shop. He always knew the best price for any product or service. Ollie also had fun completing puzzles, reading, and swimming at the Eastern Community (Oregon) YMCA where he made many friends.

Faith was important to Ollie. He was a lifetime member of Epiphany of the Lord St. Thomas Aquinas parish where he served as greeter, Eucharistic minister and occasional usher.Ollie also enjoyed volunteering at church fish fries and festivals.
