Norman J. Adler, age 91, of Walbridge, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at the Manor of Perrysburg.  He was born on November 21, 1923 in Walbridge, Ohio to Nicholas and Mary Adler.  Norman served in the U.S. Army, during WWII.  He owned and operated Adler’s Garage in Walbridge for the past 65 years.   Norman was a founding member of St. Jerome Catholic Church and was a Lieutenant for the Walbridge Fire Dept.  He was awarded the Citizen’s Accommodation Award by the Northwood Police Dept. in 2001 and 2007.

Norman is survived by his daughters, Christina Adler, Victoria (Jay) Byington and Denise (Hugh) Yonn; grandchildren, Dawn (Dave) DuFresne, Chad (Lonnie) Byington and Scott (Heidi) Jovanovic; loving companion, Mert Sifford, 5 great-grandchildren and his brother, Robert Adler.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Mitzi; his parents; sisters, Doloris Savage and Rosella Traver and grandson, Norman Jovanovic.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Sunday, June 21, 2015 from 2-7 p.m. where the Last Alarm Service will be held at 6 p.m.  Funeral services will be held on Monday in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Donor’s choice.
