Nicole Ann Shoemaker, 26, of Williston, Ohio passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the Luther Home of Mercy, in Williston, Ohio. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 5, 1988 to Jay and Veronica (Basquez) Shoemaker. She graduated from the Wood Lane School. Nicole had a love of music and a greater love for her family and friends, she will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her father, Jay (Diana) Shoemaker; mother, Veronica (Steven) Kemp; siblings, Ryan Hiles, Brianne (John) Hagemann, Alicia Weatherwax, Anthony Shoemaker, Michael Kemp, Hannah Culley and Jay Rowe; grandparents, Cruz Basquez and Shirley Kemp; aunts, Darlene (Jeff) Langenderfer and Shelley (Dave) Bishop; uncles, Joseph (Mary), Philip, David, Robbie Basquez, Bob Kemp, Scott (Carol), Craig (Pam) and Kurt Shoemaker, and many other aunts, uncles and cousins. Nicole was preceded in death by her grandma, Verna, Carol and Jerry, and grandpa, Roger. Her family would like to extend a special thank you to all of her caregivers “her angels on earth” as well as her step-parents, Diana and Steven.
Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, June 3, 2014, from 2- 8 p.m. at the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S Wynn Rd., Oregon where the funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. the following day. Burial will be private. In Lieu of Flowers donations can be made to the Luther Home of Mercy in Williston, Ohio.
