Nicholas M. Soltesz, 65, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away at the University of Michigan on November 27, 2014. Nicholas was born in Toledo, Ohio on July 14, 1949 to Nicholas and Irene (Lesko) Soltesz. He worked as a journeyman tool and die maker for 40 years working most recently at G. T. Technologies, formerly Toledo Stamping, for 29 years.
Nicholas is survived by siblings: John (Joyce Kettinger) Soltesz, Irene Soltesz-Rezbanyay, Mary Ann McDaniel (Brian), Paul (Tricia) Soltesz; nieces and nephews, Megan Gillette, Ann Peters, Kyle McDaniel, Allison McDaniel, Luke Soltesz, Logan Soltesz, Jack Soltesz and great-nephew, Mason Gillette. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd, Oregon, on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 2-8 p.m. with a Parastas prayer service at 7 p.m. Prayers, at 1030 a.m., on Thursday will begin at the Funeral Chapel followed by Liturgy at St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church on Navarre Ave. at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery.
