Nicholas L. Kuharchek, Sr., 73, of Oregon, Ohio passed away, Sunday, September 23, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. He was born on December 9, 1938 in Jerome, PA to Nicholas and Lepha (Welch) Kuharchek. He served our country in the U.S. Army. For over 30 years, Nick was a machine operator for GM Powertrain retiring January 1, 2000. In his spare time he loved travelling out west and camping.
He is survived by his loving wife, June C. (Schwab) Kuharchek whom he married July 24, 1996; children, Dawn Slemp, Robert “Tim” (Shannon Henneberry) Kuharchek, Vikkie Rodriguez, Nicholas (Tina) Jr., Jakkie Hubbard, Carol Sue (Mark) Watson, David (Debie) Smith, Laura (Shane) Roberts and Gloria Reetz; twenty-six grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; and half siblings, Mary Ann, Bruno, Paulette, Carl and Mark. Nick was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Jessie Marie (Barr) Kuharchek.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd. Oregon, Ohio on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 from 2-8 p.m. where the funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. the following day with burial at Restlawn Memorial Park.
