Neal C. Nelson Jr., 58, of Mesick, MI. passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2012. He was born on April 11, 1954 in Toledo, Ohio to Neal and Carole (Pfeifer) Nelson Sr. Neal was a 1973 graduate of Clay High School where he played football. He was a truck driver for many years owning his own truck and was proud to receive the million mile safe driving award.
He is survived by his loving wife, Candy Nelson; daughters, Anna “Buddy”, Brenda, Jaimie and Katie; 5 grandchildren; mother and step father, Carole (Barney) Gladieux; brothers, Marty (Judi) Nelson, Brian (Barb) Nelson and Allen Nelson; sister, Patty (Karyn) Nelson; many nieces, nephews and his trucking partner, Zowie. He was preceded in death by his father, Neal Nelson Sr.
Family and friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Sunday, April 22, 2012 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will begin on Monday in the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. and continue on with the funeral Mass at St. Ignatius Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Donor’s choice or to the church for Mass intentions.
