Narciso (Chico) Gomez

Narciso “Chico” Gomez age 71 of Oregon passed away Saturday, September 14, 2024, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. Chico was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 5, 1953, to Cruz and Tomasa (Santillan) Gomez. He was a 1971 graduate of Central Catholic High School. Chico retired as acting lieutenant for the Toledo Police Community Services Department having served 27 years as an officer for Toledo, Oregon, and Lucas County Sheriff during his career. Spending time with his kids and grandkids brought him the most joy in life. He was a Cleveland Browns fan and Boston Celtics fan. Above all else, he was a man of God and knew Jesus. He and his wife were members of The Rock Church in Oregon, Ohio.

Chico is survived by his wife of 48 years Eunice; children Elaine Segura, Angela Panos, Joseph Gomez, and Nicholas (Kacey) Gomez; grandchildren Aleecia, Isiah, Sharon, Nick James (Allyson), Marissa (Savon), Joseph Jr., Jaiden, Ethan, Nicholas Jr., Madilynn, Gage (Jessie), Mason, and Ashlye; great-grandchildren William, Christian, Jonah, Melody, Alec Justin, Sahara, Evie June, and Hazel; sisters Zulema Elizando, Yolanda Caver, and Genevieve (Hermenio) Gomez-Perez and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, great-grandson Noah, brothers Cruz Jr. and Jesse, brother-in-law Brigido, sons-in-law Al Segura and Nick Panos, and beloved pet Bugsy.

A memorial service will be held at The Rock Church 4058 Starr Ave. Oregon, Ohio on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Robbie Swaisgood officiating where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Memorial contributions are appreciated to The Rock Church.
