Nancy Louise Mowery
“Noonie”
Nancy Louise Mowery, “Noonie,” loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to so many passed away, Monday, April 11, 2022. She was born September 14, 1942 in Toledo, OH to John and Jane (Sampson) Bzoza. Her loving spirit touched so many throughout the years and taught many how to enjoy living.
Noonie lived her “Dash” (1942-2022) passionately by giving and caring and enjoying the little things. Her infectious smile and wit made everyone laugh, feel welcome and happy. Even on her last days her words of wisdom comforted her children and grandchildren.
Her “Happy Place” was Disney World and she was able to visit and share experiences countless times with so many different family and friends. Although Disney was her destination happy place her real happy place was being surrounded by family and friends. Her home was the party place to be for any given holiday, event or gathering. The Mowery home was always open for anyone to stay and visit and the coffee was always ready.
If you ever encountered the sisters, you know the love of family. The bond between them was unbreakable even in times of conflict. They loved each other in ways which only the BZOZA girls could. Their husbands bonded because of this, if you get the drift. Trouble times 6. Their poor brother Russell John, the baby and only boy.
The job she held and valued most was being a mother/grandmother/homemaker. Teaching her kids, the value of family and friends. The value of experiences over things. We can all only hope to be half of the woman/person she was.
We will forever miss her but know that she is of a freed mind and with the family members that preceded her in death. Heaven gained an angel and a party at the same time. Turn on the Polka music and start dancing Noonie!
Noonie is survived by her children, Rick (Jana), Ron (Paula), Nancy Sue (Jeff) Stough; her grandchildren, Ashley, Brittany, Jessalyn (Brian), Courtney, Nick (Rylee), Ronnie and Matt; her great-grandchildren, Breanna, Elias, Alexa, Eliyah, Leticia, Trenton, Tristan, Gianna and Dominic; her siblings, Bonnie (Larry) Franks, Lillian (Howard) Bandell, Nina (Rick) Gust, Beverly (Danny) Flury and Russell John Bzoza (Hope). She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Mowery; her son, Russell Lee Mowery; her parents; and her sisters, Carol Richardson and MaryAnn Bzoza.
The family would like to thank Memory Lane Care services for their support to dementia and Alzheimer’s patients; and to Otterbein Senior Life Monclova and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their dignified care during her final days.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Thursday, April 14, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Noonie will be laid to rest at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Memory Lane Care Services, Toledo, OH.
