Nancy Ellen Kersey

Nancy Ellen Kersey, age 83, of Walbridge, OH, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2024. She was born in Appalachia, VA to John and Florence (Willis) Plaskie on October 1, 1940. Nancy loved all animals, but was especially fond of her beloved cats. She also enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. Nancy loved to travel with her husband, visiting the West Coast and Florida in their RV several times.

Her greatest joy in life was caring for her family.

Nancy is survived by her children, Pamela (Tom Scanlon) Kersey, Sandra Lafferty, Richard (Pamela) Kersey, Randy (Diane) Kersey, and Paula Kersey; grandchildren, Alan, Andrew, Aaron, Jessica, Eric, Tim, Bryan, Jenny, Sarah, Katie, Amy, Randy Jr., Ross, Reid, Rachel, Tre, Devon, Adonis, and Destiny; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Jeryl of 64 years; grandsons, Jacob and Ryan; her siblings; brothers- in- law, William and Kenneth; parents; and her niece, Colleen.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Monday, May 6, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with the funeral service held at 1:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to Gentiva Hospice or the local humane society.
