Mindy Jane Edwards, 37, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Monday, January 2, 2017. She was born on November 12, 1979 in Toledo, Ohio to Jane Borer and Dave McLaughlin. Mindy was a 1998 graduate of Start High School and earned her associate degree from Owens College. She worked as a Registered Nurse for St. Charles Hospital and most recently for DaVita Dialysis. Mindy enjoyed taking care of people and always had a smile on her face. She was a loving mother to her two children whom she adored. Mindy will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children: Aurora and Dominic Edwards; mother and step-father, Jane (Martin III) Garcia; father and step-mother, Dave (Nancy) McLaughlin; former spouse, Josh Edwards; sisters, Brie Garcia, Katie (Matt) Feher and Anna (D’Waughn) Hazard; brother, Phillip Garcia and many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members. Mindy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bud and Norma Borer and Ruth and Oliver McLaughlin.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, January 6, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 212 N. Stadium Rd in Oregon where family will greet guests after 9 a.m. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made to Arrowhead Behavior Health or any other mental health organization of the donor’s choice.
