Mike C. Espinosa, 89, of Toledo, passed away, Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Orchard Villa in Oregon. He was born in Eola, Texas on June 10, 1923 to Luis and Maria (Constancio) Espinosa. For over 40 years, Mike worked in maintenance for Royster Fertilizer Corporation. He loved playing baseball on a league in his younger years and was a Detroit Tigers fan. He loved travelling with his dear wife, Marselina (Chavez) Espinosa and was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
He is survived by his children, Irene (Dan Schrader) Espinosa, Rosemary Aldaya and Jesse Espinosa ; fifteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson and brother, Tomas Espinosa . Mike was preceded in death by his parents; wife, infant son, Mike; sons, Raymond, Michael, Tony and Louie; granddaughter, Connie and siblings, Genovea, Andres, Victoriano, Bascilia, Narcisa, Silverio, Carmen, Evarista and Delores.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Sunday, November 25, 2012 from 2 - 8 p.m. where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9-10 a.m. on Monday at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 728 S St. Clair Street in Toledo where Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
