Miguel Rodriquez, Sr, 58, of Toledo passed away, Sunday, October 7, 2012 at The Toledo Hospital. He was born September 1, 1954 in Toledo to Masimino and Carmen (Campos) Rodriquez. For over 27 years, Mike worked for the City of Toledo, 23 with the Landfill department and most recently with the streets, harbors and bridges department. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 2058, an avid Cleveland Indians fan and in his spare time enjoyed fishing and playing video games with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley A. (Harris) Rodriquez whom he married February 11, 1978; sons, Barry (Kathy) Groves, Patrick Kenneth Groves; daughter, Carrie Groves; son, Miguel Rodriquez, Jr.; and stepsons, Edward and Carlos Rodriquez; grandchildren, Patrick, Jr. (Tracey), Joshua, Lucas, Michael , Alejandro, Armando and Samantha; great-grandsons, Kaleb and Kaiden Groves; brothers, Max (Edna), Martin (Delores) and Manuel (Val) Rodriquez; and sister, Lupe Vasquez along with many dear nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Mike was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Rodriquez and granddaughter, Alyssa Rodriquez.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 from 2 - 8 p.m. where the rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will begin in the funeral home on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. followed by burial at Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the United Way.
