Michael Wayne Stiger Sr.

Michael Wayne Stiger Sr. age 73 of Toledo passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Toledo Hospital. Michael was born to Arthur and Annie (Stubbs) Stiger in Toledo, Ohio on September 9, 1948. Michael was a 1966 graduate of Lake High School and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration-Accounting from the University of Toledo in 1972. He worked for Food Town as a dairy manager for over 35 years. After retirement, he worked for Kazmaier’s and Anderson’s. Michael and his family loved to travel to Walt Disney World and went every year for over 40 years. Disney World was his happy place where he could feel like a kid again. Michael was a Dallas Cowboys and Ohio State Football fan. He was very close to his grandchildren and was always on the go visiting the Metroparks or the zoo.

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Lynda; sons Jim Stiger and Michael (Marie) Stiger II; grandchildren Jacob Stiger and Sam Stiger; sister Diane (Jim) Sheehy and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Dennis Stiger.

A memorial service will be held at St. Paul’s United Methodist 1459 South St. Millbury, Ohio on Monday, April 4, 2022, at 1 p.m. where a visitation will be held from 12 noon until 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to the family.
