Michael S. Moffitt, 67, of Oregon, Ohio passed away Monday, June 16, 2014 at Mercy-St. Vincent Medical Center. He was born in Indianapolis, IN on October 25, 1946 to John and Mary (McFarland) Moffitt and served our country in the U. S. Army during Vietnam. Mike worked for CSX railroad as a car Inspector and was a member of the VFW Post 421 in Fostoria. He enjoyed antiquing, fishing and hunting in his spare time.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda C. Moffitt; sons, Michael, Jr. and John E. Moffitt; grandchildren, Anthony, Donivan, Kyle and Morgan; and siblings, Anthony (Susan) Moffitt, Toby (Terry) Owens and Jerry (Cindy) Moffitt. Mike was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Jeffrey Moffitt.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel on Monday, June 23, 2014 from 11-1 p.m. where a Memorial Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
