Michael Feasel

July 19, 1949 — February 9, 2021

Michael “Mike” Feasel age 71, of Genoa passed away at home, Feb. 9, 2021 surrounded by his loving wife and family. Mike fought a long and difficult battle with cancer. He was born on July 19, 1949 in Fremont, Ohio to the late Donald Feasel and the late Donna Thompson. He was also preceded in death by his brother Tony Simon, great- nephew Grant Volschow, and in-laws Amparo and Andrew Ochoa.

Mike had worked as an auto mechanic in the Millbury, Ohio area for 47 years. Regardless of the time of day or night, Mike always came to the aid of anyone with auto problems.

On August 23, 1996, Mike married the love of his life, Alice (Ochoa). Traveling the USA with Alice, his daughters Cheri (Larry) Stewart and Rachel Lonero was something Mike looked forward to doing. His greatest joy was when his grandchildren Selena, Brandon, Nathan Davies and LJ Stewart along with his niece and nephew, Andrea and Greg Volschow could join in the trips.

Mike would set up his back yard as a mini campground for the grandchildren and great niece and nephew. They all enjoyed the wagon he built to pull behind his riding mower to give mini hayrides. He also built his grandchildren go-karts and simulators that they enjoyed along with the barbeques and bonfires he had for everyone.

Mike was also an avid fisherman and enjoyed years of night fishing with his brother-in-law Randy (Adelina) Volschow.

In addition to his devoted wife Alice, daughters Cheri and Rachel and his grandchildren Mike leaves behind to cherish his memory his siblings Linda (Willard) Sutherland, Dennis Feasel, Jerry (Karen) Simon, and Connie (David) Howe; brothers-in-law Andrew Ochoa, Tony (Lisa) Ochoa, Albert (Jane) Ochoa, Justin Ochoa and Jason Ochoa, sister-in-law Adelina (Randy) Volschow and a host of nieces and nephews and close friends.

A memorial gathering will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel in Oregon, Ohio on Saturday, February 20, 2021 from 2 until 6 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m.  The family wishes to thank Promedica Hospice for the care they gave Mike.
