Michael A. Dippman, 93, of Oregon, OH passed on August 11, 2015 at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio Toledo Center. He was born on April 19, 1922 to John and Vallie (Nelson) Dippman. Michael was a graduate of Clay High School and later served his country in the U.S. Army. He was employed as a Lab Technician for Standard Oil/B.P. for many years. Michael was a volunteer fireman for the Oregon Fire Department, Station #1. He also was a bus driver for Oregon Schools and a farmer.
Michael was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church and Christ Dunberger American Legion Post #537. He was a very active and caring man that placed others needs before his own. Michael had a long and happy retirement. He enjoyed traveling and wintering in Coral Springs, Florida with his wife for 22 years. Michael will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
Michael is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Elsie (Wasserman) Dippman; children, Janice (Charles) Rajner, Judy (David) McMurray, Jeanne (Ron) Robeson and Joyce (Pat) Brady; grandchildren, Michael (Kelly) Rajner, Eric (Tamara) Rajner, Brad Rajner, Dan (Maria) McMurray, Vallie Robeson and Ronnie Robeson; step grandson, Rob (Firouze) Brady; 4 great-grandchildren; 3 step great-grandchildren and sisters, Mary Wasserman and Coeline Hassen. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Gertrude Jurski and Lillian Dreier and his infant brother, Herbert Dippman.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 212 N. Stadium Rd. in Oregon at 11 a.m. where family will greet friends after 10 a.m. Memorial contributions can be made to Little Sisters of the Poor or St. Ignatius Catholic Church.
