Michael Anthony Briones

August 29, 1958 — October 30, 2024

Michael Anthony Briones, born on August 29, 1958, to Pablo and Marjorie (Jones) Briones in Toledo, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at his home. Michael’s life was filled with dedication and hard work. After graduating from Waite High School, he spent 30 years as a devoted Boiler Operator with Oregon City Schools. Following his retirement, he continued his career at Walbridge Coatings, where he served for another 13 years.

Michael cherished the simple joys of life—camping, fishing, and spending quality time with his family, who were the center of his world. He was a man of kindness, humor, and love, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Michael is survived by his six children, each of whom he loved deeply: Renee Briones (Zaki), Michelle Briones (Adrien), Anthony Briones, Matthew Briones, Lynnsie Briones (Logan), and Daniel Briones. His beautiful grandchildren, who brought him immense joy, include Richard Metroff Jr., Albert Razo, Remi Metroff, Oliver Halaoui, and Eliana Cabatan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pablo and Marjorie, as well as his brother, Dean Briones, and nephews, Christopher and Glenn Briones Jr. He is also remembered by his surviving brothers, Glenn Briones (Sally) and Dan Briones (Satin), who will carry forward his legacy of kindness and warmth.

Following Michael’s humble wishes, his family will honor his life in a small, intimate gathering to spread his ashes. He wanted nothing grand, only the love and closeness of family, which he treasured most. Michael’s gentle spirit and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
