Melvin Charles Connor

Melvin C. Connor, 87, of Curtice, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg Center.  He was born on November 30, 1933 in Toledo, Ohio to Charles and Thelma Connor.  Melvin was a graduate of Clay High School and served in the United States Army.  He started as a sheet metal apprentice with Fred Christen & Sons Company, working for 17 years.  He then moved over to Chrysler in Perrysburg, working as a sheet metal mechanic, retiring on December 31, 1995.  Melvin was a devoted husband and father.  He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and traveling in his motorhome.  Melvin was a member of the Jerusalem Township Volunteer Fire Department and lifelong member of the N.R.A.

Melvin is survived by his children, Steve (Karen) Connor and Gail (Glenn) Baden; grandchildren, Morgan and Charlie Connor and Ashley Baden.  He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Donna Mae Connor.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Monday, October 25, 2021, from 2-5:45 p.m. where services will be start at 5:45 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Jerusalem Township Fire Department or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
