Maxine L. Niehousmyer, 88, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2012 at the Heartland of Waterville. She was born on April 25, 1924 in Southern Ohio to Homer and Bertha Perkins. Maxine worked as a secretary for Toledo Scales and a homemaker who loved cooking. She was a gourmet cook with thousands of recipes. Maxine enjoyed bowling, golfing and her music club.
She is survived by her husband, Myron Niehousmyer; niece, Patsy (Herb) Huffer; great-nieces, Kimberly Burns and Candice Darr; great great-nieces, Megan and Emilee Darr and Katie Huffer; great great-nephews, Ryan Huffer and Caleb and Cameron Darr. She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, Russell Tustion and sister, Anna Mae Mattes.
Family and friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, June 15th from 10-1 p.m. where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Clay Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of N.W. Ohio.
