Mary Catherine Wooley, 76, of Oregon, OH passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 in Toledo, OH. She was born on January 16, 1939 in Toledo to Carlo and Virginia “Jennie” (Cipriani) Cavese. Mary was a graduate of Whitney High School. She worked, starting at the age of 12, for her family’s restaurants, Mother Cipriani’s Spaghetti House in east Toledo and Cavese’s Italian Village in Rossford and a short time for Libby Glass. After the restaurants’ closed Mary enjoyed being a housewife and raising her family. Mary enjoyed cooking, baking breads and crafts. Her family was her world and will dearly miss her.
She is survived by her loving children, Jennifer (Larry) Smith and Andrew M. Wooley; grandchildren, Brittany and Courtney Smith, Anthony, Jason and Michael J. Wooley; brother, Thomas (Marian) Cavese and family friend, Christy Wooley. Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, of 35 years, Michael A. Wooley; parents and her sister E. Faye Southers.
Services will be private as per Mary’s request at Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd, Oregon, on Monday, March 9, 2015. Burial will take place North Oregon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Helping Hands of St. Louis.
