Mary Ruth Spetz

Mary Ruth Spetz age 92 of Oregon passed away unexpectedly due to an auto accident. Mary was born to Robert and Florence Todd in Toledo on April 19, 1931. Mary was a devoted mother and grandmother. She treasured the times she was able to go on rides with her family to get ice cream. Mary worked for many years at Ondrus Hardware as a clerk.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband William E. Spetz in 1997, daughter Sheryl Spetz, grandchildren Ann Marie Ridener, James Spetz Jr., Todd Tingley, and Tabatha Cascadden, great-granddaughter Jasmine Tingley, brothers Jack, Bob, and Billy and sisters Peg and Jean.

Mary is survived by her children Linda (Jerry) Tingley, William L. (Diane) Spetz, Mark (Cindy) Spetz, Gary (Diane) Spetz, Terry (Dave) Miller, James (Alice) Spetz, Glen (Carla) Spetz, and Tom (Laura) Spetz; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024 at Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 S Wynn Rd in Oregon from 2 until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorial contributions are appreciated to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
