Mary Ethel Penhorwood

Mary Ethel Penhorwood, 85, of Oregon, Ohio passed away peacefully, Thursday, November 17, 2011 at her home.  She was born on October 10, 1926 in Holland, Ohio to James and Myrtle (Carter) Farless.  Mary enjoyed being outdoors, taking her yearly trips to Canada, looking at flowers and fishing.  But most of all she loved spending time with her family.  She will be dearly missed.



Penny is survived by her son, Phillip (Patti) Penhorwood II; grandchildren: Tammi (Tom) Mills, Todd (Tammy) Alcorn, Troy Alcorn and Kevin Cox and 16 great-grandchildren.  Penny was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip; daughter, Barbara Alcorn and sister, Virginia Risler.





Visitation will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel Wynn at Pickle Rd. in Oregon, OH. (419) 693-9304, Monday from  5-9 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.  Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Hospice of N.W.  Ohio.
