MARY RUTH (HATMAKER) OWENS
Mary Ruth Owens, 82, of Perrysburg, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2014, at Genesis HealthCare, Perrysburg Center. She was born May 5, 1932 in Lake City, TN to Ben and Ethel (Foust) Hatmaker and married Marion Owens, Jr. Known as “Chic” by her close friends, Mary was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed reading, playing Yatzee and Bingo and being outdoors.
She is survived by her children, Jim Owens, Kathy Moore and Robert (Cindy) Owens; grandchildren, Chris (Amy) Owens, Jeff (Amanda) Owens, Bruce Moore, Kelly (Jeff) Bedford, Matthew Owens and McKenna Owens; 12 great-grandchildren and sister, Mildred (S.B.) Woods. Mary was preceded in death by her husband; infant son; parents; brother, Kenneth Hatmaker and daughter-in-law, Barbara Owens.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon from 2-8 p.m. on Friday, September 26, 2014. The Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or directly to the family.
