Mary J. Mummert, age 73, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on January 16, 1943 in Toledo, Ohio to Robert Schassberger and Jane O’Dell. Mary was a graduate of Bedford High School and worked in the Medical Records Department at Toledo Hospital for over 25 years. She was a member of Epiphany of the Lord Parish-St. Thomas Aquinas Church where she helped with many church festivals and fund raising.
Mary is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, George Mummert; children, Kim (Mark Ramey) Mummert, Ann Mummert-Rollins, George (Cary) Mummert, Jr. and Brian (Missy) Mummert; grandchildren, Nicholas, Aaron (Nicole), Christopher, Jeffrey, Bailey, Mikayla, Elizabeth, Brendan, Blake, Brianna, and Brandon; 4 great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Marissa, Aaron, and Madisyn; her mother, Jane (Charles) Slavis and her brother, Robert (Dianne) Schassberger. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Schassberger.
Per Mary’s request private services were held for the family. Memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s name to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
