Mary E. McCann, 95, of Northwood, Ohio passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at the Parkcliffe at Northwood Community. She was born on November 20, 1918 in Mott, North Dakota to John and Mary Sehr. Mary worked as a laborer for the Burndy Corporation for 20 years. Together with her husband, Roy they built their home together. She was a charter member of St. Jerome Catholic Church. Mary also worked as domestic help for various people for 30 years. She loved her family, playing cards, tending to her flower garden, animals and reading.
Mary is survived by daughters , Janet (John) Mann Sr. and Jean Momenee; grandchildren: Thomas Mann, Amy (Mark) Timmons, Lori Recker, Lisa (Robert) Draves, Julie (Andrew) Rahn and William (Nikki) Momenee Jr.; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew and Nicholas Timmons, Alex and Timothy Recker, Thomas Jr. and Christine Mann, Ashley (Mike) Klein, William III and Robert Momenee, Zachary and Lucas Rahn, Corrine Iova, Jacob Draves and Jennelle Churchill and great-great-grandchildren, Kadence, Breylynn Momenee, Avery Timmons, Eliana Iova. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Sehr; step mother, Elizabeth Sehr; husband, Roy McCann; grandson, John Mann Jr.; sister, Gladys Vislay and brothers, Herbert and John Sehr.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 from 2-8 p.m. where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Jerome Catholic Church-Walbridge where the family will greet friends after 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Lake Twp. Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Northwest Ohio Hospice or the Toledo Humane Society.
