Mary Josephine Wasserman

Mary Wasserman, age 68, passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at the Merit House of Toledo.  She was born on April 30, 1953 in Toledo, Ohio to Leonard and Bernadine Wasserman.  Mary was a 1971 graduate of Cardinal Stritch High School.  She worked many years as an LPN at St. Charles Hospital and later attended the University of Toledo where she earned her Registered Nurse (RN) degree.  Mary continued to serve the N.W. Ohio community until she retired.

Mary is survived by her siblings, Joe (Connie) Wasserman, Gerry (Anne) Wasserman, Theresa (Joe) Romano, Rosanne (Tom) Beaverson, Patricia (John) Zimmerman, and Ann (Matt) Pumphrey; 22 nieces and nephews and 25 great-nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Bernadine and her sister, Sue (Wasserman) Kline.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Monday, August 16, 2021, from 2-7:00 p.m. where the rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 212 N. Stadium Rd. in Oregon where family will greet guests after 10:00 a.m.  Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Helping Hands of St. Louis or Cardinal Stritch High School and Academy.
