Martha (Jeffries-DeCant)
Martha Mae Jeffries-DeCant-Smith, age 82, passed away at the Genesis Healthcare Center in Perrysburg, OH. on Saturday, October 4, 2014. She was born August 12, 1932 to Enoch and Iva Jeffries and was the youngest of 12 children. She was preceded in death by both her husbands, Merle L. DeCant and Denver V. Smith, her parents and 11 siblings. Surviving are her children, Thomas (Diania) DeCant of Sandia Park, New Mexico, Iva Jean Kristek (Adam) of Perrysburg, Oh., Diana Herman (Larry) of Northwood, Oh. and Jeffrey DeCant of Las Cruces, New Mexico, as well as 8 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2014, from 10-12 p.m. at the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd., Oregon, Oh. where a memorial service will be held at 12 noon. A dinner to follow at the V.F.W. Post #2984, Andrus Rd. Northwood, to share with the family all the loving memories she gave our family and to all those who met and knew her.
