MARTHA JANE (STYER) CLOVER
Martha J. Clover, 97, went to be home with the Lord on Sunday, December 7, 2014. Martha was born on July 16, 1917, in Toledo to Clara and Joseph Styer. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and a member of Eastern Stars, Lotus Chapter 477 where she served as Past Adah. She was a devout Christian who led her entire family to the Lord. Her strong faith never wavered and her encouraging spirit was witnessed by many who where recipients of her many cards and flowers. She also loved to cook and sew for family and friends. During WWII, Martha had worked for Auto-Lite then with Lamson’s and LaSalles & Koch Department Stores along with being a devoted wife and mother.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents; sisters; husband, Robert Clover; daughter, Annette Romp; granddaughter, Andrea Romp and her dearest friend, Margaret Ball. She is survived by her daughter, Marsha Kay (Mark) Landis; grandchildren, James Romp, Sr., Raquel Ruiz (Terry), Jason Romp (Sandra), and Marc (Karrie) Landis; great- grandchildren, James Romp, Jr. (Jessina), Ruben Ruiz, Jr. (Sherrita), Makenna Ruiz, Tyler Landis (Kali), Jenna Romp, Breanna Ruiz and Carson Romp and great-great granddaughter, Ja'layiah Ruiz.
A Celebration of Martha’s Life will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2014, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Elmore St at Woodville Rd in Toledo. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lutheran Home at Toledo.
The family wishes to thank the entire staff at the Lutheran Home at Toledo for their love and exceptional care to Martha. Also a special thanks to all her friends from Hair Design especially Carol Stahill who have been a huge part of Martha’s life.
