Maria Louise Hartwig

Maria Louise Hartwig, age 55, died at home Saturday, April 8, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born in San Jose, CA to Clyde and Elaine (Riley) Gleesing on May 8, 1967. Maria enjoyed travelling, reading, scrapbooking, crafting and her cats, but most of all she loved her family and the time spent with them. She worked for many years as a waitress at the Bayshore Supper Club but spent the last 18 years at home with her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Maria leaves behind her loving husband, Daniel; her children, Richard Jr. (Amber), and John (Alexis); her 7 grandchildren; her siblings, Bill (Rosie), Becky (John), and Chrissy (Mark). She was preceded in death by her parents.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, April 14, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 3:00 p.m. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
