Margaret moved to Oregon in 1935 and joined St. Ignatius Catholic Church. She was involved with many organizations over the years including: Past-President of the Altar Rosary Society, Past-President of the St. Charles Woman’s Guild and Past-President of the Toledo L.C.B.A. Organization. She also volunteered at the American Red Cross in Toledo and for the Lucas County Board of Elections for many years working the voting booths.
Margaret is survived by her children: Charles R. (Carmela) Racz, John F. (Fran) Racz, Edward M. Racz and Joseph T. Racz; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Charles F. Racz.
Family and friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, February 10, 2012 from 2-8 p.m. where the rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Saturday at 9:15 a.m. and continue on with the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ignatius Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Ignatius Building Fund.
