MARGARET MARY (KUN) PRATER
Margaret M. Prater, 72, of Walbridge passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 9, 2015, at Mercy-St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Toledo on February 9, 1943 to Stephen and Barbara (Katona) Kun and was a 1961 graduate of Clay High School. She married the love of her life, Daniel E. Prater on January 22, 1962 and they have been together 56 wonderful years. Margaret’s favorite activities were working on her Hungarian embroidery, playing Bingo and building puzzles. Margaret and her husband loved playing cards with friends.
Margaret is survived by her husband, Daniel; children, Leslie (Jeff) Ballew, Daniel S. (Kerry) Prater and Jeffrey (Victoria) Prater; grandchildren, Jeremy Ballew, Daniel K. Prater, Benjamin Ballew, Jamie (Brian Rau) and Joey (Amber) Donaldson; great-grandchildren, Emberlynn, Joey and Brody and sisters, Rosemary (Charlie) Doran and Susan (Ed) Ramasocky along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Mickey and five sisters, Mary, Betty, Julie, Barbara and Alice.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Monday, May 11, 2015 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
