Lynda Marie Mckinney

Lynda Marie McKinney age 55 passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Mercy St. Charles Hospital. Lynda was born to Robert and Clara Nowak on July 29, 1967, in Toledo, Ohio. She was a 1986 graduate of Cardinal Stritch High School and a lifelong member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Lynda married the love of her life Kerry in 1991. Having a wonderful sense of humor, Lynda laughed a lot and could lift anyone’s spirit. She was always the first to offer help and give a hand. Lynda worked as a cashier at Stop and Go formerly Maumee Bay General Store for the past 8 years; before that she worked in housekeeping at Maumee Bay State Park. Lynda loved summer and could be found floating in her pool, tending her garden, or “filling the trough” by grilling or cooking everyone’s favorite food. Lynda had a soft spot for animals and contributed to the Humane Society of Toledo. She was very loved and a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. Lynda is survived by her husband of 31 years Kerry; daughter Emma; parents Robert and Clara; siblings Keith Nowak, Angie (Marty) Zak, and Mary (Ron Jr.) Bosch; brother-in-law Kevin (Etta) Ferguson; many nieces and nephews and Nami to Taffy her grand dog.
Visitation will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel 1155 S. Wynn Rd. in Oregon on Friday, December 9, 2022, from 3 until 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Ignatius Catholic Church 212 N. Stadium Rd. in Oregon on Saturday, December 10th at 11 a.m. where family will receive friends one hour prior to Mass. Memorial contributions are appreciated to the Humane Society of Toledo.
