Louise Ann Dompier age 81, of Oregon, passed away Monday, May 14, 2012 peacefully at home. Lou Ann was born to Wesley and Anna (Tscherne) Dompier on March 22, 1931. She graduated from Central Catholic High School receiving the Bishop’s Cross in 1949, Mary Manse College with her Bachelors in Education in 1953, and University of Toledo with a Master’s in Administration/Supervision in 1970. Lou Ann was a founding member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Gamma Chi chapter and past-president. Lou Ann worked at OLPH and Jerusalem Elementary School teaching 5th grade retiring in 1988. She was past-president of Oregon Federation of Teachers, a Golferette at Chippewa Golf Club, volunteer at St. Louis Helping Hands and Heartbeat of Toledo and an avid amateur photographer. A member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, she was a member of the choir and past-president of the Altar Rosary. Lou Ann loved to travel and visited every State and Europe.
She is survived by her sisters, Nancy Fisher, Virginia (Donald) Hart, and Denise (Ricky) Frazier; 14 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews and great great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents whom she was a caregiver for and her sister Carolyn Loucks.
Family and friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Wednesday from 6-8p.m. and Thursday from 2-8 p.m. where a rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will begin with prayers Friday at 9:15 a.m. and continue on with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Ignatius Church. Burial will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Ignatius or St. Louis Helping Hands.
